Title: Technical Support Engineer (SQL) - Pune - 6 month contract

Location: Pune, work from office, 5 days a week

About the role Kinesiis is hiring a Technical Support Engineer to work on an application support desk for one of our enterprise software clients in Pune. This is a hands on support role, not a call routing one. You will be the person who takes a reported problem, reproduces it, works out what actually went wrong, and either fixes it or escalates it with a clear diagnosis attached.

The work suits someone with a technical education who wants to stay close to the product and the data rather than move into pure process work.

What you will do
Own incoming tickets through triage, investigation and resolution
Reproduce reported issues and confirm them against application data
Write SQL queries to investigate data, verify behaviour and support root cause analysis
Read application logs and stack traces to isolate the source of a failure
Escalate to engineering with clear reproduction steps and evidence
Track issues to closure and keep users updated on progress




Document recurring problems and contribute to the internal knowledge base What we are looking for

Required
Graduate in a technical discipline (BCA, MCA or similar)
Solid working SQL: joins, filtering, aggregation, and the confidence to query a production database safely
Ability to read and interpret application logs and error messages
Explicit written and spoken English, since a large part of the job is explaining technical findings to non technical users
Available to work from office in Pune, 5 days a week

Positive to have
Any hands on development experience (Java, .NET, or a JavaScript framework), which helps considerably when diagnosing application issues
Exposure to a ticketing system such as Jira, Freshdesk, ServiceNow or Zendesk
Understanding of APIs and how to test them (Postman or similar)
Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI - PG-DAC or a comparable post graduate technical programme

Pay: ₹178,921.56 - ₹800,475.72 per year
