Role Overview :We are looking for a Vendor Manager with at least 3 years of experience in the book and/or journal publishing industry to support outsourcing needs across teams. The role will manage freelancer onboarding, compliance, coordination, and payment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Work with internal teams to support outsourcing requirements
Identify, evaluate, and onboard freelancers/vendors
Manage a pool of publishing freelancers (editorial, design, production, XML, etc.)
Ensure vendor contracts, NDAs, and agreements are completed
Coordinate with finance for timely vendor payments
Act as the primary point of contact for vendors
Track vendor performance and maintain vendor records
Required Skills & Experience :
Minimum 3 years experience in book and/or journal publishing
Experience managing freelancers or external vendors
Understanding of publishing workflows and outsourcing models
•Solid coordination and communication skills
•Working knowledge of contracts and payment processes
