CNC Programmer Cum Operator

Location: Mehtex Engineering

Department: Production / Machining

Job Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC/VMC machines for production.
Prepare and modify CNC programs as per engineering drawings and component requirements.
Set work offsets, tool offsets, tool lengths, and cutting parameters.
Select appropriate cutting tools and machining processes.
Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and surface-finish requirements.
Perform in-process and final inspection using Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Identify and rectify machining, dimensional, and tooling issues during production.
Maintain proper machine settings, tooling, and production records.
Ensure production meets required quality, quantity, and cycle-time targets.
Follow safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.

Requirements:




ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
2–5 years of relevant CNC/VMC programming and operating experience.
Valuable knowledge of CNC machine setup, programming, tooling, and machining processes.
Ability to independently read and interpret engineering drawings.
Positive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques.
Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc will be an advantage.
Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and machine-related problems.
Willingness to work in shifts and meet production requirements.
