Textile Artist Intern – Verve Textiles

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Textile Artist Intern to join our design studio. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in drawing, painting, surface design, and textiles, with the ability to translate artistic ideas into beautiful textile patterns and designs.

Key Responsibilities
Create original hand-drawn and hand-painted artwork for textile designs.
Develop motifs, illustrations, florals, abstracts, geometrics and other surface patterns.
Experiment with different painting and drawing techniques to create unique artwork.
Convert artwork into repeat patterns and textile-ready designs.
Assist the design team with developing new collections and concepts.
Explore different colour combinations, textures and artistic styles.
Create artwork that can be adapted for home furnishings and textile applications.
Digitise and clean up hand-painted artwork using Photoshop/CorelDRAW where required.
Maintain an organised library of motifs, artwork and design references.
Assist senior designers with ongoing design projects and sampling.

Skills & Requirements




Strong drawing and painting skills.
Valuable understanding of colour, composition, scale and proportion.
Interest in textile and surface design.
Ability to create original artwork rather than relying heavily on existing references.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/CorelDRAW is preferred.
Good attention to detail and willingness to experiment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a quick-paced design environment.

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates should submit a portfolio showcasing their original drawings, paintings, illustrations, textile artwork, surface patterns or other relevant creative work.

Pay: ₹7,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
