A Cath Lab Assistant works in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and assists doctors, nurses, and technicians during cardiac procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and other interventional procedures.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare the Cath Lab before procedures
Assist doctors during cardiac procedures
Maintain sterile setting and infection control
Prepare and handle instruments, catheters, and consumables
Monitor and shift patients safely
Assist in patient preparation and positioning
Maintain records and procedure materials
Clean and maintain Cath Lab equipment
Coordinate with nursing staff and biomedical department
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of cardiac procedures
Knowledge of sterile techniques
Positive communication and teamwork
Ability to handle emergency situations
Basic computer and documentation skills
Qualification
Diploma / Degree in OT Technician, Cath Lab Technician, or related field
Experience in Cath Lab preferred
