Job Description – Child Psychologist
Position Summary
The Child Psychologist will assess, diagnose, and provide psychological interventions for children with neurodevelopment, behavioral, emotional, and learning difficulties. The role requires close collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized intervention plans that promote the child's overall development and well-being. Child psychologists typically conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide therapy, educate families, and document progress.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment
Conduct comprehensive psychological, behavioral, developmental, cognitive, and emotional assessments.
Administer standardized psychological and developmental assessment tools.
Identify strengths, challenges, and developmental needs.
Prepare detailed assessment reports with recommendations.
Therapeutic Intervention
Provide evidence-based interventions including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Play Therapy
Behavioral Therapy
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
Emotional Regulation Training
Social Skills Training
Develop individualized therapy goals.
Review and modify intervention plans based on progress.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Child Psychology.
Additional certification in Child Psychology, CBT, Play Therapy, or Behavioral Therapy is preferred.
RCI registration (where applicable) will be an added advantage.
1–5 years of experience working with children in a therapy center, hospital, school, or clinical setting is preferred. Appropriate qualifications and supervised experience are commonly expected for child psychology roles.
Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
