Roles & Responsibilities
Requirements gathering from the business users and developing system specifications for projects, enhancements, and bug/issues.
Work directly with various levels of business users to document requirements, create visual diagrams, review specifications, obtain approval, support QA & UAT and post-production roll-out.
Working with Offshore developers and external vendors to ensure specifications are understood, followed, and implemented properly.
Issue resolution/escalation including prioritization and tracking.
Tracking issues through JIRA and maintaining regular updates to sprint/Project progress.
Other day today activities required for the IT department.

Key Skills
Experience in working in Underwriting and Claims applications.
Experience in data integration and data quality projects.
Excellent understanding of how technology impacts the business.




Excellent team player with a proven background of individual contribution.

Desired Candidate
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent college degree with relevant experience.
5+ years experience in IT as a Technical Business analyst/system analyst and created functional requirements for complex projects within the Insurance P&C; domain.
Positive understanding of the underwriting process includes the policy lifecycle, coverages, endorsements, forms, rating, etc.
Any Business analyst/IT Certification is a plus.
Insurance specific training is a plus.
Ability to work with technical teams (developers, architects, QA, infrastructure), business users and software vendors to document requirements on time.
