Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer Switchgear with hands-on experience in electrical design and a good understanding of LV/MV switchgear products. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and capable of developing electrical drawings and design documentation as per project and product requirements.

Exp - 2 to 5 years

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review electrical design drawings for LV/MV switchgear and electrical panels.
Develop GA drawings, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, control circuit diagrams, and BOMs.
Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD.
Understand switchgear components such as ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, relays, busbars, CTs, and protection devices.
Coordinate with R&D;, Production, Quality, Project, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.
Review customer/project specifications and convert requirements into suitable electrical designs.
Ensure designs comply with relevant IEC standards and internal design standards.
Support prototype development, testing, and design validation.
Resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and testing.




Maintain and update engineering drawings, design documents, and technical records.
Support design improvement, cost optimisation, standardisation, and product development initiatives.

Required Skills
Robust knowledge of LV Switchgear
Valuable understanding of electrical circuits and switchgear components.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.
Good understanding of BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and electrical drawings.
Positive coordination and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
Candidates with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with relevant switchgear design experience may also be considered.

Preferred Experience :-

Experience in the design of ACB/MCCB panels, distribution boards, motor control centres (MCC), PCCs, control panels, or other LV/MV switchgear products will be preferred.
