Role & responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes and Data Warehouse systems.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and transformation testing across multiple data sources.
Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing of ETL jobs.
Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
Identify, document, and track defects; work with teams to resolve issues.
Validate data integrity, consistency, and accuracy in staging, warehouse, and reporting layers.
Automate repetitive test cases using SQL queries and scripting.
Provide detailed test results, metrics, and reports to stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree in Computer Science,



Information Technology, or related field.
4+ years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing.
Solid expertise in SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, stored procedures).
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS).
Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables).
Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos) is a plus.
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
