Opttab is an AI visibility and GEO platform helping brands understand, measure, and improve how they appear across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Claude, Perplexity, and other AI platforms.

Our platform processes large-scale AI workloads, web crawling, analytics, APIs, background jobs, and customer-facing applications. As Opttab grows, the infrastructure behind the platform needs to be highly available, secure, observable, cost-efficient, and able to scale quickly.

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of Opttab's cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. This is a hands-on senior role. You will work closely with our CTO and engineering team to design, automate, secure, monitor, and scale the infrastructure powering Opttab.

What You Will Be Getting Involved In

Opttab's infrastructure is the foundation behind our AI visibility tracking, website crawling, analytics, integrations, AI agents, and customer-facing platform.

As our customer base and processing volumes grow, we need to ensure that our infrastructure scales reliably while maintaining solid engineering practices around deployment, observability, security, performance, and cost.

You will play a key role in building that foundation.

Role

As a fast-growing technology company, your responsibilities will evolve as Opttab scales. Some of the areas you will own include:

- Own and continuously improve Opttab's AWS cloud infrastructure
- Design infrastructure that can reliably support high-volume AI processing, crawlers, APIs, scheduled jobs, queues, databases, and customer-facing services
- Build and maintain scalable production, staging, and development environments
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent technologies
- Build reliable CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment automation across our applications and services
- Establish deployment strategies including automated rollbacks, blue-green deployments, and zero-downtime releases where appropriate
- Manage Docker-based workloads and container orchestration using Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, or similar technologies
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing, and observability across the entire Opttab platform
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, infrastructure risks, and single points of failure
- Build systems for autoscaling and capacity management as platform usage increases
- Own cloud security practices including IAM, network security, secrets management, vulnerability management, access control, and infrastructure hardening
- Improve backup, disaster recovery, database recovery, and business continuity processes
- Build automated security and infrastructure checks into CI/CD pipelines
- Manage DNS, CDN, WAF, SSL, load balancing, and edge infrastructure




- Improve the reliability and performance of PostgreSQL and other data infrastructure used across the platform
- Help engineering teams troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues
- Establish incident management, alerting, post-mortem, and production support practices
- Monitor and optimize AWS infrastructure costs without compromising reliability or performance
- Work closely with developers to improve developer experience, deployment speed, and production reliability
- Help Opttab build the infrastructure and security practices required for enterprise customers and future compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- Use AI-powered engineering tools to accelerate infrastructure automation, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational workflows

- Production deployments are automated, predictable, observable, and easy to roll back
- Critical infrastructure is managed through Infrastructure as Code rather than manual configuration
- Engineering teams have clear visibility into application and infrastructure health
- Infrastructure incidents are detected quickly and resolved systematically
- Security best practices are embedded into infrastructure and development workflows
- Cloud costs are measurable, understandable, and continuously optimized
- New environments and services can be created quickly and consistently
- The engineering team can ship faster without compromising reliability

What You Might Bring To The Table You do not need to tick every box, but we are looking for someone with strong hands-on production infrastructure experience.

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience managing production environments on AWS
- Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, and related infrastructure
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Strong experience with Docker and containerized production environments
- Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, or similar container orchestration platforms
- Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, HTTP, TLS, load balancing, proxies, and cloud networking




- Experience implementing production monitoring and observability using tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Sentry, or similar
- Experience operating PostgreSQL or similar relational databases in production, including backups, replication, performance, and recovery
- Strong understanding of cloud and application security best practices
- Experience with secrets management, IAM policies, vulnerability scanning, and security automation
- Experience designing highly available and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with disaster recovery, backup strategies, incident management, and production troubleshooting
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
- Ability to diagnose complex production problems across infrastructure, application, database, and networking layers
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure costs and resource utilization
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure decisions from design through production

Nice To Have

- Experience operating infrastructure for AI, machine learning, data processing, crawling, analytics, or other high-throughput platforms
- Experience with queue-based architectures and asynchronous workload processing
- Experience supporting Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, or TypeScript applications in production
- Experience with Redis, message queues, workers, and distributed systems
- Experience with Cloudflare and edge security infrastructure
- Experience preparing SaaS infrastructure for SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or enterprise security reviews
- Experience building infrastructure for rapidly growing B2B SaaS companies
- Experience working with multi-region or international infrastructure
- Strong understanding of FinOps and AWS cost optimization
- Comfortable using AI coding and infrastructure tools as part of your daily engineering workflow
