We are looking for a dedicated Academic Counsellor to join our team in Ambala. In this role, you will guide and support students in their academic journey, helping them make informed decisions about their educational paths.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Guidance: Assist students in understanding their academic options and help them choose courses or programs that align with their career aspirations.
Personalized Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to address students' academic concerns and offer tailored advice based on their individual needs.
Resource Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational resources, scholarship prospects, and career options to effectively support students.
Workshops and Programs: Organize and facilitate workshops or informational sessions to educate students about academic policies and career planning.
Follow-Up Services: Regularly follow up with students to monitor their progress and re-evaluate their academic plans as necessary.
Parental Interaction:
Communicate with parents when needed to involve them in the academic planning process and address any concerns.
Required Skills and Expectations:
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience in an academic counseling role. Robust communication skills are essential, as you will interact with students, parents, and faculty. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, and highly organized. You should be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and have a passion for helping students succeed in their education. A positive understanding of various educational programs and career paths is also expected.
Experience
