Position Title: Automation Engineer- Junior/ Senior

Reports To: Manager RD&E;

Position Summary

- Responsible for PLC, HMI, and Safety PLCbased machine automation for printing and packaging machines, including system integration and software validation. Requires working knowledge of C and C++ programming to support IPC and automation interfaces.

Main Responsibilities
- Maintain/ validate / test software architecture of PLC, Safety PLC, HMI design for printing & packaging machines as per safety standards
- Support integration of PLC, HMI, drives, IPC systems and servo drives with an understanding of object-oriented programming ( C/C++, embedded programs) interface with automation systems
- Develop, test, debug and validate machine automation software
- Follow and implement best Practices in machine automation software
- Create and maintain related documentation such as sequencing and timing diagrams, process flows, software version management

Critical Skills and Personal Attributes
- Strong Knowledge of PLC, Safety PLC, AC/DC drives and Servo drives




- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming (C / C++ and embedded) sufficient to understand existing code, support troubleshooting and integration with PLC/IPC systems and collaborate with software and embedded teams
- Knowledge of protocols like Ethernet, Arcnet, Ethercat, Profibus, Profinet, Canopen

Etc.
- Exposure to Master Slave Programming involving 3rd party devices
- Knowledge of machine feedback elements such as encoders, resolvers, sensors, light curtains and Limit switches, awareness of failure modes
- Industrial automation and industrial equipment controls with multi-networks
- Knowledge of machine functions, sequencing interlocks and machine safety
- Valuable communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross functional teams

Education and Experience
- Graduate in Electrical / Electronics engineering (Any graduate with above skills)
- 2 to 5 Years for Engineer
- 6 to 10 Years for Senior Engineer
