In this role, you will:
Drive the vision, roadmap and priorities for Samsara s Platform teams.
Ensure high technical standards through both processes and the culture you instill.
Mentor and grow engineering managers and staff/senior engineers.
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across recent offices.
Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team.

Minimum requirements for the role:
10+ years of industry experience in software engineering/development.
7+ years of engineering management experience.
A track record of building high-performing software teams.
Willingness to dive-deep and solve challenging technical problems.

An ideal candidate also has:
Experience managing managers and teams of 40+ engineers.
A customer-focused mindset and valuable product sense.
5+ years of experience in SaaS software development roles.
BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
Experience with best practices around testing, monitoring, and SLAs to ensure high product quality in large-scale distributed web services.
