Role Overview

We are seeking experienced SAP Data Conversion professionals with strong expertise in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (SAP BODS), SQL programming, ETL concepts, and SAP data migration. The resource will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, validating, and troubleshooting data conversion programs for SAP S/4HANA implementations, supporting master and transactional data migration across multiple SAP modules.

Band & Experience Requirements

- Candidate should have 7+ years of overall IT experience.
- Candidate band will be determined based on relevant experience. Lesser-experience profiles will not be considered for a higher band.
- Candidate should have worked on data conversion activities in at least one SAP project involving master and/or transactional data objects.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and ETL concepts. • Experience with SAP as the target system for data conversion.
- Expertise in data loading techniques using BAPIs and IDOCs through SAP BODS.
- Experience with commonly used ETL/data conversion tools, particularly SAP BODS.
- Adequate understanding of SAP modules and associated master and transactional data objects.
- Confidence in client communication and ability to handle assigned objects independently.

Preferred / Beneficial Skills

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit is beneficial.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA as the target platform.
- Experience across SAP FICO, MM/WM, SD, LE, HR, PP, PM, HCM and SuccessFactors data conversion activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end data conversion activities for SAP implementation and migration programs.
- Write technical specifications for data conversion programs.




- Follow field mapping sheets for mapping legacy-system fields to SAP fields for master and transactional data objects.
- Design and develop conversion programs using SAP BODS, SQL and ETL techniques.
- Execute data loading into SAP using BAPIs and IDOCs through BODS.
- Work with DCCO teams to design and test conversion programs according to project scope.
- Execute conversion programs to load master and transactional data into SAP.
- Prepare data validation reports to support the data validation process.
- Analyze, research and troubleshoot data defects arising during the conversion process.
- Work with design and functional teams to understand and resolve BODs/data conversion errors.
- Provide regular status updates to DCCOs and project leads.
- Identify and report issues, risks and dependencies arising from data conversion activities.
- Take initiatives to automate conversion programs and improve migration efficiency.
- Support blackout/freeze periods, cutover activities and Go-Live activities as required.

SAP Data Conversion Scope The candidate may be responsible for data conversion programs covering SAP FICO, SAP MM/WM, SAP SD, SAP LE, SAP HR, SAP PP, SAP PM, SAP HCM and SuccessFactors, including relevant master and transactional data objects.

Candidate Requirements

- 5–7 years of relevant SAP implementation/data conversion experience, aligned to the applicable band requirement.
- Hands-on experience in SAP BODS and SQL programming.
- Strong understanding of data conversion processes and ETL methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data issues and guide design/functional teams toward resolution.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Adaptable to support project-critical activities, including blackout/freeze periods, cutover and Go-Live.
