Role Overview: We’re looking for a QA Lead to own the quality and test strategy across all Subscribili products. You’ll design and drive our automated testing (built on Playwright), embed quality into an Agile delivery process, and lead and mentor the QA function — catching issues before they ever reach patients and partners.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

This role is organized around five core areas. Each describes what we expect you to own and deliver. Test Strategy & Ownership

- Own the overall system test strategy and QA function across all Subscribili products.
- Define test plans, coverage targets, and quality gates for releases.
- Identify testing dependencies, risks, and gaps early, and communicate them clearly to the project team.

Test Automation & Engineering

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable automated test suites — our automation suite runs on Playwright.
- Automate front-end and API testing to catch issues before they reach end-users.
- Apply engineering principles to test design, keeping the suite fast, reliable, and maintainable.

Quality Execution & Reporting

- Plan and execute system-level, regression, and smoke testing across environments.
- Triage failures, isolate root causes, and partner with developers through debugging.
- Maintain test coverage, quality,



and KPI reports; run post-release and post-implementation checks.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

- Drive the QA lifecycle within an Agile/Scrum process alongside developers and product managers.
- Shift quality left — engage early in the SDLC to prevent defects, not just find them.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD so quality is continuous.

Leadership & Mentorship

- Lead the QA team; mentor and grow more junior members.
- Set QA standards and best practices that others follow.
- Communicate quality status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.

Core Technical Skills:

The capabilities we expect you to bring to the role, grouped by area. QA Foundations & Methodologies

- 6+ years testing web applications, including in a QA Lead or similar role.
- Strong command of QA methodologies, best practices, and test strategy.
- Solid experience with both front-end and API testing — manual and automated.

Test Automation

- Hands-on with a modern test-automation framework — our suite runs on Playwright; equivalent experience (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) transfers directly.
- Ability to build scalable, reusable automation scripts and run them in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Proficiency in a test-automation language such as TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.

AI-Assisted QA

- Working knowledge of AI tools for testing — generating and maintaining tests, expanding coverage,



and triaging failures — is a strongly valued part of this role.
- Judgment to review and validate AI-generated tests and results rather than trusting them blindly.

CI/CD & Tooling

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable with Git and standard QA tooling.
- Documenting KPIs and metrics, including quality and test-coverage reports.

Leadership & Communication

- Proven experience leading a QA team and mentoring engineers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with robust stakeholder management.

Bonus Points:

- Setting up CI/CD environments with integrated test automation.
- Testing eCommerce and payment flows, especially with Stripe.
- Familiarity with healthcare data handling, compliance, or PHI.
- Exposure to performance, load, or security testing.
