Position: Purchase Manager – Construction & Real Estate

CTC: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage end-to-end procurement for our construction and real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining quality standards, and controlling procurement costs.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage complete procurement and purchasing activities for construction projects.
- Source and develop reliable vendors for construction materials, equipment and services.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, credit terms and delivery schedules.
- Purchase materials such as cement, steel, RMC, bricks/blocks, sand, aggregates, tiles, sanitaryware, plumbing, electrical items, hardware, paints, waterproofing materials and finishing materials.
- Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Store and Accounts teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with approved specifications and rates.
- Maintain a database of vendors, rates, past purchases and payment terms.
- Ensure materials are delivered to site on time and as per approved specifications and quantities.
- Conduct vendor evaluation based on price, quality, delivery, service and credit terms.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and alternate/suitable materials without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with site/store teams for material receipt, inspection and reconciliation.
- Follow up on pending orders, shortages, rejected materials and replacements.
- Ensure proper documentation of quotations,



comparative statements, POs, invoices and delivery challans.
- Monitor market prices and provide regular rate analysis and procurement reports to management.
- Assist in establishing annual/rate contracts with key suppliers.
- Ensure procurement is carried out within approved budgets and company policies.
- Handle vendor disputes and resolve procurement-related issues promptly.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement, preferably with a real estate developer, construction company or infrastructure company.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and local vendor markets.
- Valuable negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Should have experience in handling site/project-based procurement.
- Good understanding of GST, purchase orders, invoices and basic commercial documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and preferably experience with ERP/purchase management software.
- Strong communication, follow-up and coordination skills.
- Should be comfortable travelling to project sites and vendor locations when required.
- Local candidates from Faridabad/Delhi-NCR will be preferred.

Compensation ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month CTC, depending on experience and suitability.
