Role Overview:
A Senior Architect in the construction industry is a leadership-level professional responsible for guiding the architectural vision of a project from concept to completion. They act as the bridge between design, engineering, regulatory authorities, and client expectations. Their primary aim is to ensure that projects are not only aesthetically compelling but also functional, sustainable, code-compliant, and delivered within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architectural Design Leadership
Develop conceptual and schematic designs aligned with the client's vision and site constraints. Oversee detailed design development, ensuring architectural integrity, creativity, and feasibility. Incorporate creative and sustainable design principles into building plans. Review and approve architectural drawings, models, and specifications prepared by junior staff or consultants. 2. Project Coordination & Oversight
Manage and coordinate design efforts across various disciplines (structural, MEP, landscape, etc.). Liaise regularly with project managers,



civil engineers, and construction managers to ensure alignment between design and construction execution. Lead coordination meetings, design reviews, and milestone deliverables. 3. Client Engagement & Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on design-related matters. Translate client requirements into actionable architectural solutions. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and visualizations to communicate design concepts effectively. 4. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Ensure designs comply with local zoning regulations, building codes, accessibility standards (e.g., ADA), fire safety, and environmental regulations. Prepare and submit planning applications, permit requests, and compliance documentation. Interface with city officials, code enforcement agencies, and legal authorities as necessary. 5. Site Supervision & Construction Support
