LSST is looking for a Programme Associate - Nutrition officer to provide technical support for all nutrition-related components of the childcare interventions of the organisation. The role combines child nutrition, programme implementation, nutrition based capacity building, and data-driven decision making to ensure that the children receive nutritionally adequate meals and appropriate growth support.
Key Responsibilities
- Child Nutrition and Growth Monitoring
- Revise menus periodically based on seasonal availability, local foods and programme needs ensuring they are nutritionally balanced, affordable, and culturally appropriate.
- Standardise recipes and portion sizes for all childcare centres.
- Review and track child growth by regular anthropometric checks and identify children who may require additional nutrition support.
- Support supervisors in maintaining growth monitoring records.
- Capacity Building and Nutrition Education
- Build capacities of field teams and programme staff on
- Safe food preparation and food safety
- Complementary feeding
- Develop menu plans and facilitate recipe demonstrations with the mothers.
- Develop easy nutrition education materials for the programme.
- Promote appropriate infant and young child feeding practices.
- Quality and Programme Monitoring
- Compile and review nutrition and growth monitoring data.
- Identify trends and flag concerns requiring programme action.
- Prepare monthly nutrition summaries and support programme reporting.
- Other programme support
- Contribute to programme reviews and planning processes
- Ensure quality and standardization of anthropometric measurements
- Train field teams on data collection protocols
- Assist in interpretation of nutrition-related findings
- Contribute to technical inputs to programme documentation, reports, and publications
Essential Skills
- Understanding of child nutrition and growth monitoring
- Ability to train and work with rural and tribal populations
- Basic data analysis and documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS office and Google Workspace.
- Fluency in Gujarati and English.
- Willingness to travel regularly to remote villages
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition/Community Nutrition/Public Health Nutrition/Dietetics or a related discipline
- 1-3 years of experience in community nutrition, maternal and child health, or related programmes.
- Fresh post graduates with relevant internship or field experience are also encouraged to apply.
Other information - Location: On-site in Poshina, Sabarkantha district, Gujarat

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
