Role Description The Pricing Specialist is a full-time, in office position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive freight and logistics quotes for sea and air shipments across various container types.

The Pricing

Specialist will analyze carrier tariffs, market rates, and customer requirements to develop cost-effective pricing solutions, while ensuring compliance with company policies and commercial guidelines. Daily tasks include coordinating with sales, operations, and carrier partners, maintaining pricing databases,



tracking rate changes, and supporting tender and bid responses. The role also involves monitoring margin performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, and providing clear, timely communication to internal stakeholders regarding rates and pricing strategies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret tariffs, rate sheets, and cost structures.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of sea and air freight operations, including container types, shipping terms, and basic supply chain concepts.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in spreadsheet and pricing tools, along with general computer literacy and accurate data entry skills.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, operations, and external partners.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines.
- Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or pricing roles is preferred; familiarity with the Chennai logistics market is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, logistics, or a related field is beneficial, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a rapid-paced environment.
