Role Description The Experienced Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and contact lens evaluation, while ensuring accurate diagnosis and appropriate management or referral of ocular conditions.

Responsibilities include documenting clinical findings, maintaining up-to-date patient records, and coordinating care with ophthalmologists and other clinical staff. The optometrist will educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and preventive care, and may support pre- and post-operative assessments as needed. This is a full-time on-site role based in Kottakkal, requiring active participation in the daily operations of the hospital, including outpatient services, vision screenings,



and occasional community outreach programs.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong clinical optometry skills, including refraction, contact lens fitting, and basic ocular disease screening.
- Candidates should possess skills in patient communication, counseling, and the ability to explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly and empathetically.
- Candidates should possess skills in maintaining accurate clinical documentation and working effectively with electronic or paper-based medical records.
- Candidates should possess skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary eye care teams and contributing to smooth clinic workflow.
- Recognized degree or diploma in Optometry from an accredited institution; valid registration or eligibility to practice as per local regulations.
- 5+ of experience in a clinical eye care setting, preferably in a hospital or high-volume practice.
- Ability to work full time in office in Kottakkal, with flexibility for hospital schedules and patient volume.
- Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory patient care, continuous learning, and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
