- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, explain testing procedures, address concerns, and attach electrodes to precise locations on the patient's head or body. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Test Administration: Perform diagnostic tests including electroencephalograms (EEGs), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG), and polysomnograms (sleep studies). [1, 2]
- Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot complex neurological testing equipment to ensure accurate data collection. [1, 2, 3]
- Data Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor patient reactions during tests, record vital signs, and compile initial technical data reports for physician review. [1]

Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Completion of a diploma, associate degree, or specialized training program in neurodiagnostic technology or a related medical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating digital recording systems, electrode application, and basic troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, empathy for patients under stress, and acute attention to detail.
- Certifications: Professional certification (such as through ABRET or local medical boards) may be required or preferred by employers
