Role Purpose

As a Music Teacher / Dance Teacher, you will inspire and guide students in their artistic journey. Your passion for music and dance will help students develop vocal, instrumental, and performance skills, as well as dance techniques, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach vocal and instrumental music and various dance forms to students across different age groups.

- Develop and implement structured lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum for both music and dance.

- Introduce music theory, rhythm, tempo, sight-reading, and dance techniques, choreography, and movement skills.

- Conduct rehearsals, ensembles, dance practice sessions, and performance preparations.

- Guide students in performances, competitions, cultural programs, and school events.

- Encourage creativity through composition, improvisation, expression, and dance choreography.

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback in both music and dance.

- Integrate music and dance appreciation, cultural knowledge, and history into lessons.

- Maintain musical instruments, dance props, classroom resources, and audio/visual equipment.

- Foster discipline, teamwork, confidence, and stage presence among students.

- Collaborate with other teachers for school events, assemblies, and performances.





- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and achievements.

- Attend professional development programs to stay updated with up-to-date music and dance teaching techniques.

Requirements

Education Requirements:

- B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification.

- Certification or training in Music / Dance is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

- 0–3 years of teaching experience in music, dance, or a related performing arts area.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in vocal and instrumental music training.

- Strong understanding of music theory, rhythm, tempo, and sight-reading.

- Ability to teach music composition, dance techniques, and choreography.

- Experience in conducting musical and dance performances.

- Classroom management skills for both music and dance classes.
