MIS Executive – Data Analytics & Reporting Position MIS Executive – Data Analytics & Reporting Department MIS / Business Intelligence & Analytics Reports To MIS Manager / Business Analytics Head Location : Chennai Employment Type Full-time About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented MIS Executive with strong data analytics capabilities and hands-on experience in Power BI (or similar Power Platform/BI tools) to manage data reporting, dashboard creation, and business intelligence support across departments. The ideal candidate will go beyond routine reporting — analyzing trends, identifying patterns, and generating actionable insights that support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Reporting & Automation • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI (or Power Pivot / Power Query / Power Automate as applicable) • Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, Excel, databases) to generate daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports • Automate recurring reports and workflows to reduce manual effort and turnaround time • Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting systems Data Analytics • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and root causes behind business performance • Build and maintain data models, DAX queries, and calculated measures to support advanced analytics • Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to support planning and budgeting cycles • Translate large/complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders • Support ad-hoc analytical requests from leadership (deep-dives, root-cause analysis, scenario/what-if analysis)



• Use basic statistical techniques to validate findings and improve reporting reliability Business Partnering • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Operations, HR) to gather reporting and analytics requirements • Track key business metrics/KPIs and present trends, variances, and insights to management • Prepare presentations and summary reports for leadership review • Identify process improvement opportunities and automation potential through data analysis • Ensure timely delivery of MIS reports and analytics deliverables with a high degree of accuracy Required Skills &

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Statistics, Computer Science, IT, or related field • 2–5 years of experience in MIS reporting and data analytics, with strong hands-on expertise in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Data Modeling) — experience with other Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pivot) is a plus • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Macros, formulas, statistical functions) • Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, joins, and query writing • Solid understanding of data analytics concepts: trend analysis, variance analysis, KPI tracking, root-cause Preferred / Valuable to Have • Certification in Power BI, Microsoft Data Analyst Associate, or Data Analytics (e.g., Google/IBM Data Analytics Certificate) • Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (Pandas, basic statistical modeling) • Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation • Exposure to basic predictive/forecasting techniques • Prior experience in [industry-specific, e.g., manufacturing, BFSI, retail] Key Competencies • Data-driven and analytical mindset • Strong logical and quantitative reasoning • Curiosity to dig beneath the numbers, not just report them • Ownership and accountability for report/analysis accuracy • Ability to work under tight deadlines
