Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to students of Grades V–VIII following the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans aligned with learning outcomes.
- Deliver engaging, activity-based, inquiry-driven, and competency-focused lessons.
- Promote conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and learning styles.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
- Analyze student performance and implement remedial and enrichment programmes.
- Integrate ICT tools, digital platforms, and smart classroom resources into teaching.
- Develop worksheets, question papers, assignments, projects, and competency-based assessments.
- Prepare students for Olympiads, mathematics competitions, quizzes, exhibitions, and other enrichment activities.
- Foster mathematical curiosity through hands-on activities, puzzles, games, and real-life applications.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and learning goals.
- Participate in Parent–Teacher Meetings, school events, assemblies,
and co-curricular programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in CBSE Capacity Building Programmes and continuous professional development. (The Times of India)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution (mandatory).
- Master's Degree in Mathematics is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school, preferably handling Grades V–VIII.
- Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum, competency-based education, and NEP 2020.
- Excellent English communication and classroom management skills.
