Role Description The MEP Internship at JSE Engineering Academy is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai. Interns support instructors and engineering teams by assisting with BIM MEP project exercises, preparing drawings and documentation, and learning to model HVAC, plumbing, fireffighting, and electrical systems under guidance. Day-to-day tasks include working with tools such as Revit MEP and AutoCAD, participating in lab sessions, helping set up training materials, and contributing to project-based learning assignments.

Interns are expected to collaborate with peers, follow structured learning plans, and apply classroom concepts to practical design and coordination activities.



The role offers exposure to industry workflows while building technical and professional skills in a training-focused environment.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering and interest in BIM MEP applications.
- Basic proficiency or familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, or Revit MEP.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and building services layouts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills relevant to building services design.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn in a classroom and project environment.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering field.
- Attention to detail, good time management, and a disciplined approach to assignments and training modules.
- Interest in developing a career in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical systems, or BIM-based engineering practice.
