Role Description The Medical Laboratory Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based at Maharishi Markandeshwar University in Solan. The technician will perform routine and advanced laboratory tests in support of teaching, research, and clinical activities, following established protocols and safety guidelines. Daily responsibilities include preparing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording and analyzing test results, and assisting faculty and clinicians with laboratory procedures.

The role also involves maintaining clean and organized workspaces, adhering to quality control standards, managing supplies and reagents, and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with faculty, students,



and other laboratory staff is expected to support efficient and accurate laboratory operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Medical Technology and Laboratory Medicine skills relevant to diagnostic and academic laboratory settings.
- Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, test execution, documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess experience in Quality Control, including calibration, validation, and monitoring of test accuracy and reliability.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with Laboratory Equipment, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards, infection control practices, and basic regulatory guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in a medical, academic, or research laboratory is preferred but not mandatory.
