Role Description The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for developing and detailing mechanical designs for water and effluent treatment systems, including equipment layouts, piping arrangements, and structural supports. Day-to-day activities include preparing technical drawings and 3D models, collaborating with engineering and project teams to refine designs, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards, safety requirements, and client specifications. The role involves supporting research and development efforts by evaluating new components, materials, and design approaches to improve system performance and reliability.





This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, requiring close coordination with local and regional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for creating accurate 2D and 3D mechanical layouts.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design to develop robust, efficient, and maintainable systems.
- Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D;) to support innovation in equipment design and process optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and familiarity with relevant design codes and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
- Experience in water treatment, process plants, or related industrial sectors is an advantage.
