About the Role
Lending Services (Corporate & Commercial Banking) Supporting global banking clients across the end-to-end lending lifecycle, including credit underwriting, financial spreading, risk assessment, covenant monitoring, and portfolio reviews. Drive operational excellence through effective workflow management, MIS reporting, and quality delivery. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of corporate/commercial banking experience, strong accounting and credit analysis expertise, proven people leadership skills, and hands-on experience with lending platforms such as CreditLens, nCino, LexisNexis, or Experian.
The Manager will join the Lending Services team at Evalueserve and play a key role in supporting Mortgage Lending monitoring activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The individual will be responsible for overseeing HMDA reporting processes, managing a team, driving quality and operational excellence, and partnering with client stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform, review, and oversee Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data scrubs, including validation of OCC and CFPB HMDA Plus expanded data fields
- Validate Loan Application Register (LAR) data against applicable HMDA requirements, source documents, system records, and client-specific reporting guidelines
- Analyze exceptions identified during HMDA data scrubs, determine root causes, assess compliance impact, and support timely resolution or remediation
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure HMDA data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to regulatory reporting standards
- Manage end-to-end exception tracking, data discrepancy resolution, remediation follow-up, and status reporting through HMDA software platforms
- Interpret and apply HMDA Regulation C requirements and related mortgage lending regulations to complex reporting scenarios
- Review mortgage loan documentation, including Uniform Residential Loan Applications (1003), underwriting records, disclosures, appraisals, credit reports, and other supporting documents to validate reportable HMDA data
- Support annual HMDA filing preparation by performing data validation, quality checks, discrepancy resolution, and regulatory reporting readiness activities
- Collaborate with client compliance,
operations, lending, audit, and technology teams to address HMDA reporting issues, regulatory queries, and process gaps
- Assist in internal audits, external audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance testing by providing documentation support, issue analysis, and remediation tracking
- Identify recurring data issues, process gaps, control weaknesses, and reporting trends, and recommend improvements to strengthen HMDA compliance and reduce regulatory risk
- Lead a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts by providing technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
- Review team output to ensure adherence to quality standards, productivity targets, and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Manage workflow allocation, capacity planning, utilization monitoring, and delivery tracking across the team
- Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, managing escalations, policy clarifications, and feedback discussions
- Participate in calibration sessions, regulatory discussions, and client governance meetings as needed
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, training materials, and best practice guidelines
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality enhancement, operational efficiency, automation, and risk reduction
- Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements, industry trends, and client-specific policies impacting mortgage lending and HMDA reporting.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputed institution
- 6 – 10 years of experience in Mortgage Operations, Mortgage Compliance, HMDA Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, or related lending functions
- Strong knowledge of Residential Mortgage Lending, Tailored Lending (TL) products, HMDA Regulation C, CFPB reporting requirements,
and mortgage underwriting and documentation processes
- Good understanding of mortgage loan documents, including 1003, 1008, credit reports, appraisals, disclosures, flood certificates, title documents, income and asset verification documents, and closing packages
- Working knowledge of related regulations such as Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B); Privacy of Consumer Financial Information (Regulation P); Fair Credit Reporting Act (Regulation V); Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (Regulation X); Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z); Flood Insurance Requirements; Fair Housing Act; Fair Lending Regulations; UDAAP; Homeowners Protection Act; and S.A.F.E. Act
- Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and assessing compliance impacts within mortgage lending operations
- Prior people management experience, including team leadership, quality reviews, coaching, and performance management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in working with HMDA software platforms, data validation tools, and Excel-based analysis
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven stakeholder management and client-facing experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, enhance controls, and implement operational efficiencies
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or regulatory examinations is preferred
