Role Description The LIC Life Insurance Agent role is a part-time position based in Ahmedabad, structured as a hybrid role with a mix of in office client meetings and some work-from-home activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying prospective clients, understanding their financial and protection needs, and recommending suitable LIC insurance plans. The agent will explain policy features, assist clients with applications and documentation, and provide ongoing customer service, including policy renewals and updates.

The role also involves building and maintaining long-term relationships,



participating in local marketing and outreach activities, and staying updated on LIC products, regulatory guidelines, and industry developments.

Qualifications

- Strong capability in Insurance Sales and Insurance to help clients select appropriate life and health insurance products.
- Knowledge of Insurance Brokerage practices to compare offerings and guide customers transparently when required.
- Foundational understanding of Finance to explain premiums, returns, benefits, and long-term planning clearly.
- Proven Customer Service skills to manage inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in simple terms.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a hybrid setup with fieldwork and remote tasks.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with online tools for policy information, documentation, and follow-up.
- Completion of regulatory requirements and licensing as per IRDAI and LIC guidelines (or willingness to obtain them).
- Prior experience in sales, banking, finance, or insurance is an advantage but not mandatory.
