Role Description The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will support faculty-led research projects, assist in literature reviews, data collection, and data analysis, and contribute to the preparation of reports, research papers, and presentations. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with research teams, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring adherence to research protocols and timelines. The JRF may also assist in laboratory or fieldwork activities, support grant proposals,
and help organize seminars or workshops related to the project.
This is a full-time on-site role based at MIET Kumaon College in Haldwani, requiring regular presence on campus for collaborative research and academic activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong research skills, including literature review, data collection, and basic data analysis.
- Candidates should possess academic writing and documentation skills, with the ability to prepare reports, articles, and presentations.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Management, Computer Science, or Applied Sciences.
- Candidates should possess good communication and collaboration skills for working with faculty, peers, and external partners.
- A relevant master’s degree or enrollment in a postgraduate program is preferred; prior exposure to funded research projects or internships is an advantage.
- Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, ethical research conduct, and the ability to manage time and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with basic research tools or software (e.g., statistical packages, referencing tools, or lab equipment relevant to the discipline) will be beneficial.
