About the Role

Cybrotech is looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our security team. The candidate will work on *Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT), security assessments, vulnerability reporting, and **Elasticsearch/Elastic Stack* activities.

Freshers with strong practical cybersecurity knowledge, labs, projects, certifications, or bug-bounty experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform Web Application, API, Network, and Infrastructure VAPT.
- Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities.
- Perform manual and automated security testing.
- Use tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus/OpenVAS, Metasploit, Kali Linux, etc.
- Follow OWASP Top 10 and common security testing methodologies.
- Prepare professional VAPT reports with vulnerability details, risk ratings, evidence, and remediation recommendations.
- Work with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Elastic Stack for log analysis and security monitoring.
- Create and analyze Elasticsearch queries, indexes, and dashboards.
- Investigate security events and suspicious activities from logs.
- Assist senior security engineers with client security assessments and projects.
- Maintain proper documentation of findings and testing activities.

Required Skills

- Basic understanding of Cybersecurity and VAPT.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10.




- Knowledge of Web Application and API security.
- Familiarity with Burp Suite and Nmap.
- Basic Linux knowledge.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, ports, and protocols.
- Basic knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.

Preferred Skills

- Basic experience with Elasticsearch / Kibana / Elastic Stack.
- Python or Bash scripting.
- Bug bounty experience.
- CTF/lab experience.
- Security certifications such as CEH, eJPT, Security+, or similar.
- Basic understanding of SIEM/SOC operations.
