Role Description The Interior Design Summer Intern will support the design team in planning, visualizing, and refining interiors across Saltstayz properties in Gurugram. This on-site internship role involves assisting with space planning, selecting materials and finishes, preparing mood boards, and supporting the creation of design presentations for recent and existing locations. The intern will help conduct site visits, take measurements, coordinate with vendors, and document design changes and layout updates.





Day-to-day work includes collaborating with operations and branding teams to ensure interiors reflect Saltstayz’s aesthetic and guest experience goals, while staying practical and cost-effective. The role is ideal for a design student or recent graduate seeking hands-on exposure to hospitality interiors and quick-paced, real-world projects.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in interior design principles, including space planning, color theory, and furniture layout.
- Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, or similar software).
- Ability to create mood boards, material palettes, and basic design presentations for internal review.
- Attention to detail in documenting measurements, specifications, and on-site observations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, operations, and vendor teams.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Interest in hospitality, boutique stays, and experiential spaces; prior project or internship experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site in Gurugram, adapt to a dynamic environment, and manage multiple tasks and timelines.
