Role Description The Instrument Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Raigarh. This role is responsible for the installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems used in steel and power production processes. Day-to-day activities include monitoring instrument performance, troubleshooting faults, coordinating with electrical and mechanical teams, and ensuring that automation and control systems run safely and reliably.

The Instrument

Engineer will prepare and update documentation, support preventive maintenance plans, and assist in commissioning recent equipment and systems. The role also involves adherence to safety standards,



participation in audits, and collaboration with operations staff to improve plant efficiency and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems (sensors, transmitters, PLCs, DCS, SCADA).
- Experience with installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant instruments.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical interfaces related to process automation in steel or power plants.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with safety standards, industrial codes, and best practices for working in heavy industry environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in mining, steel, power, or process industries is preferred.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on-site in rotating shifts if required.
