We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Industrial Automation Engineer to take on a Customer Success & Energy Optimization role within our growing startup. This is a multi-faceted leadership position requiring a technical expert with hands-on experience in industrial automation, energy optimization, and HVAC systems, combined with strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Success:

- Conduct site visits and assessments for industrial and commercial clients.
- Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for energy optimization.
- Serve as the primary technical and strategic point of contact for customers.
- Ensure seamless implementation of solutions, working alongside cross-functional teams.

Technical & Product Integration:

- Identify and recommend the right hardware and middleware solutions for IoT-based energy optimization.
- Work with AC units, gas heaters, heat pumps, boilers,



and other industrial systems to improve energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with web and mobile development teams for integration with our AI/Reinforcement Learning (RL) tool.
- Troubleshoot, test, and validate solutions on-site.

Sales, Negotiation & Business Development:

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and drive revenue growth.
- Advocate for the company's solutions and effectively communicate value propositions.

Leadership & Growth:

- Take on a leadership role in a fast-growing startup.
- Own equity/options within the company.
- Work in a high-risk, high-reward environment with a self-starter mindset.
- Contribute to long-term strategy and innovation.

What We’re Looking For:

- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, IoT, or energy optimization.
- Hands-on expertise with HVAC systems (AC units, gas heaters, heat pumps, boilers, etc.).
- Experience working with hardware, middleware, and energy optimization platforms.
- Solid customer success, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. for client visits.
- Self-motivated, risk-taking mindset – comfortable working in a startup environment.
- Fast learner – while AI/Reinforcement Learning experience is not required, the candidate must be open to learning and working with these technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with software-based energy optimization applications or platforms.
- Knowledge of AI-driven energy optimization tools (not required but a plus).
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth company.
