I. Job Summary

The role is responsible for validating reporting-related data, ensuring accuracy in cost basis, income classifications, and withholding information.

The incumbent will support tax audit processes, resolve reporting exceptions, and collaborate closely with operations and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

II. Roles & Responsibilities

- Perform data audits to identify and resolve tax reporting discrepancies
- Validate reporting data including cost basis, income classification, and withholding details
- Collaborate with operations, compliance, and external vendors for tax reporting processes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory audits
- Investigate and resolve reporting exceptions within defined timelines
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting standards

III. Core Competencies

- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies in large datasets and ensure high accuracy
- Analytical Thinking: Strong capability to investigate root causes and apply logical solutions
- Problem Solving: Ability to resolve operational issues independently or with cross-functional teams

IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional)

- Higher Education (Finance / Commerce preferred)
- Exposure to Process Excellence methodologies

- Cost basis and gain/loss reporting
- Regulatory compliance and audit readiness
- Vendor and cross-team coordination

Must Have Skills

- Experience in financial services operations, accounting, or back-office functions
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliation analysis)
- High accuracy in data review and exception handling
- Ability to work under regulatory and reporting deadlines
- Understanding of internal controls and audit standards
