1. Job Purpose
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end human resource operations, including manpower planning, recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, HR policies, employee relations, statutory compliance, and HR process improvement. The role will also involve coordinating with business and functional teams to ensure effective workforce management and achievement of organisational objectives.
1. Key Responsibilities
A. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for various managerial, technical, and support positions.
- Understand manpower requirements and prepare recruitment plans in coordination with business/functional heads.
- Source, screen, shortlist, interview, and coordinate selection of candidates.
- Manage recruitment agencies, consultants, job portals, and other sourcing channels.
- Ensure timely onboarding and joining of selected candidates.
B. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage employee onboarding, documentation, induction, transfers, promotions, and separation processes.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and updated employee records.
- Coordinate employee confirmation, probation, and other lifecycle activities.
- Address employee queries and facilitate timely resolution of HR-related matters.
C. Performance Management
- Coordinate the performance appraisal and performance management process.
- Assist managers in setting KRAs/KPIs and monitoring performance.
- Identify performance gaps and coordinate appropriate improvement plans.
- Support succession planning and talent management initiatives.
D. HR Policies & Compliance
- Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, employment regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders for statutory and HR compliance.
- Keep abreast of changes in labour laws and recommend necessary changes in HR practices.
E. Employee Engagement & Employee Relations
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters in accordance with organisational policies.
- Promote a positive and professional work environment.
- Conduct employee feedback and engagement activities and recommend improvement measures.
F. Payroll & HR Operations
- Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Verify attendance, leave, reimbursements, deductions, and employee-related payroll inputs.
- Coordinate PF, ESI, gratuity, insurance, and other employee benefit matters, as applicable.
- Ensure timely resolution of payroll and employee benefit-related issues.
G. HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain HR dashboards, MIS reports, and workforce analytics.
- Monitor key HR metrics such as headcount, attrition, recruitment status, absenteeism, and employee costs.
- Provide periodic HR reports and analysis to senior management.
- Maintain HR documentation and records for audits and management review.
H. HR Projects & Process Improvement
- Lead and participate in HR projects, process improvement initiatives, and organisational development activities.
- Drive digitisation and automation of HR processes wherever feasible.
- Coordinate cross-functional HR initiatives and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- PMP certification will be an added advantage for managing large-scale HR projects and transformation initiatives.
1. Educational Qualification
Essential:
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources / Human Resource Management from a recognised institution.
Preferred:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Additional certifications in HR, Labour Laws, HR Analytics, or related areas will be an advantage.
1. Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance, and performance management.
- Experience of handling HR functions independently and coordinating with senior management will be preferred.
- Experience in a manpower-intensive, corporate, government, PSU, IT/ITES, or service-sector organisation will be an advantage.

1. Reporting
Reports To: Head – Human Resources / Senior Management
1. Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a MBA/PGDM – HR professional with at least 5 years of relevant experience , capable of independently managing core HR functions and working closely with business and senior management. Candidates having PMP certification or demonstrated experience in managing large-scale HR projects will be preferred.
