About Merlin Brands
Merlin Brands is a growing D2C organisation with a portfolio of consumer-focused brands. We are looking for an HR Manager who can independently own HR operations while bringing a strong data-driven, performance-focused and process-oriented approach to the function.
This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with business leaders and using people data to drive better HR decisions.
Role Overview The HR Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations and employee lifecycle processes, while driving performance management, HR analytics, employee engagement and people processes.
The ideal candidate should be a robust HR Generalist / HRBP with excellent operational rigour, strong PPT and presentation skills, and the ability to convert HR data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities1. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Own day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Manage onboarding, employee documentation, attendance, leave, confirmation, transfers and exits.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of HR processes and policies.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR data accuracy.
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement and HR process standardisation.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters.
2. Performance Management
- Drive the complete performance management cycle including goal setting, reviews, appraisals and performance tracking.
- Partner with managers to establish clear and measurable KRAs/KPIs.
- Monitor performance trends and identify gaps across teams.
- Support managers in performance improvement plans and performance-related interventions.
- Develop performance dashboards and reports for leadership reviews.
3. HR Analytics & MIS
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and regular MIS reports.
- Track key HR metrics including headcount, attrition, attendance, performance, employee movement and other people KPIs.
- Analyse HR data to identify trends, gaps and areas requiring intervention.
- Translate people data into actionable insights and recommendations for management.
- Establish a structured, data-driven approach to HR decision-making.
4. Management Reporting & Presentations
- Create sharp, structured and data-backed PPT presentations for management reviews.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly HR review decks covering key people metrics and initiatives.
- Present HR trends, insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Convert complex HR data into simple and meaningful business presentations.
5. HRMS & Process Automation
- Manage and optimise the organisation's HRMS for employee data, attendance, leave, performance and reporting.
- Keka experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ensure data integrity and effective utilisation of HR systems.
- Identify opportunities for HR automation and process improvement.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders and functional heads on people-related matters.
- Provide HR support and guidance to managers across employee lifecycle and performance-related matters.
- Drive effective communication of HR policies, processes and organisational initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders.
7. Employee Engagement & People Initiatives
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and improve employee experience.
- Support organisational culture and people initiatives.
- Identify employee concerns and proactively work towards resolution.
- Partner with leadership on initiatives aimed at improving employee productivity and retention.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle Management.
- Strong understanding of Performance Management and appraisal processes.
- Excellent PPT / Presentation skills.
- Strong analytical ability with experience in HR MIS, dashboards and people analytics.
- Good working knowledge of HRMS; Keka exposure is an added advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised, process-oriented and detail-focused.
- Strong execution and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong business acumen with a data-driven approach to HR.
Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is more than an HR operations executor — someone who can understand business requirements, analyse people data, identify trends and proactively recommend solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a strong HR Generalist / HRBP who combines:

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
