Job Title: HR Business Partner – R&D; (PAN India)
Location: Corporate Office (with quarterly travel to plant locations across India)
Department: Human Resources
Role Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic HR Business Partner to support the Research & Development (R&D;) function across multiple corporate and plant locations in India. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to R&D; leaders and employees, driving critical HR initiatives such as recruitment, talent development, workforce planning, compensation, and employee engagement—specifically tailored for technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership
- Collaborate with R&D; leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all R&D; HR matters across locations.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for all R&D; roles across levels.
- Design and execute strategies to attract high-quality technical talent.
- Ensure timely closure of positions and effective workforce planning.
Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and behavioural training programs.
- Partner with L&D; to implement tailored learning initiatives and IDPs (Individual Development Plans) for key R&D; talent.
Succession Planning & Talent Reviews
- Develop and drive succession planning for critical R&D; roles.
- Conduct regular talent reviews to build a future-ready workforce.
- Promote internal mobility and leadership development.
Compensation & Benefits
- Collaborate with the Compensation & Advantages team on benchmarking, salary fitment, and retention planning.
- Support salary reviews, recognition programs, and special cases.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and execute R&D-specific; town halls, feedback forums, and engagement events.
- Champion inclusion, wellbeing, and a strong team culture across R&D; units.
Employee Relations & Exit Management
- Manage employee grievances, performance discussions, and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure smooth offboarding and conduct structured exit interviews for continuous feedback.

- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- High emotional intelligence and empathy
- Analytical thinking with a data-driven approach
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- In-depth understanding of HR practices, labour laws, and industrial relations
Qualification & Experience:
- MBA in HR / PGDHRM from a reputed institute
- 4–6 years of experience in HR, preferably supporting technical/engineering teams
- Prior experience in manufacturing or R&D; environments is preferred
- Willingness to travel 30–40% across plant locations
