About the Role

We're building a project-based robotics and electronics program where students design and build real hardware products like E-Ink displays, AI cameras, robotics projects, and more - from scratch. We're looking for a Hardware Product Engineer + Maker Educator who can own the full pipeline: curriculum design, BOM preparation, prototype validation, and live virtual teaching.

What You'll Do

- Design multi-session, project-based curriculum for teenagers and beginners
- Create component lists and BOMs for each project
- Prepare explicit, step-by-step build guides
- Validate every project hands-on before students attempt it
- Conduct live virtual sessions (2 - 3 hours each)
- Review student work and provide feedback
- Diagnose hardware faults remotely

What We're Looking For

Experience:

- Has built hardware projects from scratch (highly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with both Raspberry Pi and ESP32
- Strong experience designing and soldering custom perfboard/PCB prototypes
- Comfortable and confident teaching kids, teenagers and beginners

Must-Have Technical Skills:

- Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Arduino
- GPIO, I²C, SPI communication




- Motor control (servo/DC)
- Soldering
- PCB design (EasyEDA or similar)
- 3D CAD design (Fusion 360 or similar) and 3D printing
- C++ (required), basic Python

Important: Schedule Note Sessions are for students and since kids are only available for a 2 - 3 hour stretch on weekends, sessions will most likely be held on Saturdays and/or Sundays. We need flexibility from you on this - in exchange, we're happy to offer time off on weekdays to balance it out. Please only apply if this schedule works for you.
