Job Title: Guidewire Billing Center Developer

Experience: 3-10 Years

Location: Initial 6 Months Remote, Later Hybrid mode based from Bangalore/Pune

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire BillingCenter Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Guidewire BillingCenter configuration, development, and integration.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience working on Guidewire applications, with hands-on BillingCenter experience being mandatory. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Gosu, Guidewire configuration, and BillingCenter integrations, and should be comfortable working across the complete development lifecycle.

The role involves understanding business requirements, designing and developing solutions in Guidewire BillingCenter, configuring the application, developing integrations, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, configure, customize, and maintain solutions within Guidewire BillingCenter.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders to understand functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable Guidewire BillingCenter solutions.
- Develop and customize BillingCenter functionality using Gosu and Guidewire development frameworks.
- Perform Guidewire BillingCenter configuration and customization based on project requirements.
- Develop and maintain integrations between BillingCenter and internal/external systems.
- Analyze integration requirements and implement appropriate integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot application, configuration,



integration, and production issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure development follows established coding and architectural standards.
- Perform unit testing and support system integration testing, UAT, and production deployments.
- Analyze defects, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and functional issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for configurations, customizations, integrations, and implemented solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Guidewire development processes and best practices.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

1. Guidewire BillingCenter:

- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter is mandatory.
- Practical experience in BillingCenter development, configuration, and customization.
- Valuable understanding of BillingCenter architecture and application components.
- Ability to independently develop and troubleshoot BillingCenter functionality.
- Experience working on BillingCenter implementations, enhancements, or maintenance projects.

2. Gosu:

- Strong working knowledge of Gosu, Guidewire's development language.
- Ability to write, debug,



and maintain Gosu code.
- Experience using Gosu for business logic, extensions, enhancements, and customizations.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

3. Guidewire Configuration:

- Hands-on experience with Guidewire configuration.
- Ability to configure BillingCenter functionality based on business requirements.
- Experience working with Guidewire data models, entities, typelists, PCF/UI configuration, and business rules will be an advantage.
- Ability to understand existing configurations and implement enhancements without impacting existing functionality.

4. Guidewire Billing Integration:

- Hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter integrations.
- Experience developing and supporting integrations between BillingCenter and external/internal applications.
- Understanding of integration patterns and data exchange mechanisms.
- Ability to troubleshoot integration failures and identify root causes.
- Experience working with APIs, web services, messaging, or other integration mechanisms within the Guidewire ecosystem will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Guidewire BillingCenter implementation and upgrade projects.
- Knowledge of Guidewire development frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with Guidewire integration architecture.
- Understanding of insurance business processes and the Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance domain.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale insurance technology projects
