Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Grocery Store Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial to maintaining the quality and accuracy of our store's stock, ensuring that customers always find fresh, well-stocked products. The ideal candidate is organized, meticulous with record-keeping, and proactive in identifying and solving stock issues.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Assistance:

- Attending Customers: Warmly greet and acknowledge customers on the store floor. Actively assist shoppers in locating specific products, aisles, or brands.
- Product Inquiries: Answer customer questions regarding product availability, pricing, and general information with a polite and helpful demeanor.
- Checkout Support: Assist at the checkout counter during peak hours by bagging groceries or managing queues to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience.

2. Daily Inventory & Quality Control:

- Expiration Management: Conduct daily checks of the "expiry book items." Recheck the expiry notebook against actual physical inventory to ensure absolute accuracy. (Must have a keen eye for detail).
- Restocking: Systematically identify products throughout the store that need refilling or restocking. Document these needs and immediately inform management.
- Refrigerator Maintenance: Perform a complete daily restock of the refrigerator to ensure it is always full and organized.
- Customer Insights:



Pay attention to customer requests. Proactively note product requirements from customers and inform management to guide future purchasing decisions.

3. Stock Management & Receiving:

- Delivery Verification: Upon product deliveries, verify samples, check actual stock counts against invoices, and immediately record and process any expiry updates for the recent items.

4. Scheduled Stock Take:

- Weekly Rotation: Conduct a thorough stock take of designated store areas according to a set weekly schedule. This includes detailed physical counts of specific racks, product categories (such as Poha to Dry Fruits, Spices, Grains, and Oils), the Center Rack, and the Refrigerator.

5. End-of-Day Duties:

- Cash Reconciliation: Accurately count and verify cash in the register/till at the end of every shift, before exiting.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic math and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work systematically and independently based on a set checklist and schedule.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Basic product knowledge across various grocery categories is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy objects for restocking.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
