What You Will Do *

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and sustainment of electro-mechanical products while providing operational support and solving engineering challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering, to ensure the successful delivery of projects and products.

What You Will Learn

Key Responsibilities

Product Design and Development

Sound knowledge on mechanical engineering fundamentals, product design and drawing standards.

Interpret component drawings, assemblies, and BOMs; proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA) and knowledge of Teamcenter/PLM preferred.

Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost.





Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute cutting-edge solutions to engineering challenges.

Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to production.

Exposure to electro-mechanical product design is a plus.

Operational Support and Problem Solving:

Provide engineering support in addressing and resolving technical issues.

Address technical issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to support production and resolve technical challenges.

Sustaining Engineering

Good working experience in Engineering Change management process, including upgrades, modifications, and obsolescence management.

Knowledge of materials (metals, plastics), special processes, surface finishes, and consumables (e.g., adhesives, paints).

Implement engineering changes by providing robust long-term solutions and updating documentation as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have *

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field

0–2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry

Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA preferred)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Basic understanding of supply chain processes and manufacturing techniques.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
