Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage complete Coke Oven, CDQ, and By-Product Plant operations ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable performance. Achieve targeted production, coke quality (CSR, CRI), and energy efficiency parameters through optimized process control.

- Process Optimization: Monitor charging, pushing, and heating cycles, ensuring balanced battery performance and minimal gas losses. Optimize coking time, temperature profiles, and oven pressures for consistent quality output. Implement best practices using PLC/DCS-based monitoring systems.

- By-Product & Gas Handling Management: Oversee gas collection, cooling, cleaning, and distribution systems. Ensure efficient operation of condensers, scrubbers, electrostatic tar precipitators, and gas exhausters. Maximize recovery of tar, ammonia, benzol, and other by-products while minimizing environmental emissions.

- Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to maintain high equipment reliability. Plan shutdowns, refractory maintenance, valve inspections, and gas line repairs with a focus on zero unplanned downtime.
