Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Generative AI Engineer at The Agentic Loop. The Generative AI Engineer will design, build, and optimize agentic AI systems and workflows, including prompt architectures, tools, and integrations for production use. Day-to-day responsibilities include experimenting with leading foundation models, implementing and evaluating new agent frameworks, and translating complex technical concepts into practical examples and demos for the community.

The role will involve collaborating on educational content and learning programs, building reference implementations and prototypes, and contributing to internal tooling that supports newsletters, posts, and hands-on courses.



The engineer will work closely with product and editorial teams to ensure that technical solutions are reliable, understandable, and aligned with the mission of making frontier AI accessible and useful.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in software engineering and programming (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript) for building production-ready AI applications and tools.
- Experience with modern AI/ML ecosystems, including large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, open-source agent orchestration tools).
- Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, prompt engineering, and safety/robustness considerations in generative AI systems.
- Proficiency in cloud and infrastructure technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, serverless, containers, APIs) to deploy and maintain scalable AI services.
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, practical explanations, examples, and documentation for diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfort with rapid experimentation, evaluating new tools and frameworks, and sharing insights on what works and what does not in real-world agentic AI use.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote workplace and coordinate across product and editorial workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience shipping AI-powered products or prototypes
