We are looking for an experienced General Manager Operations who can bring strong operational and administrative expertise from any relevant industry and apply it effectively in a dynamic school environment.

Role Overview The General Manager Operations will be responsible for overseeing the overall administrative and operational functioning of the school. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage teams, facilities, vendors, budgets, compliance, safety, and day-to-day operations while ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have strong ownership, execution, people management, and problem-solving capabilities and should be comfortable working in a rapid-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

- Oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the school.
- Develop and implement processes and SOPs to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure smooth coordination across academic, administrative, and support functions.
- Identify operational gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and mentor the administrative and support teams, ensuring clear delegation and accountability.

Safety, Security & Compliance




- Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop and implement SOPs for school safety, security, emergency response, and crisis management.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across the campus.
- Ensure appropriate safety standards and protocols are followed across all operations.

Transport & Student Safety
- Oversee school transportation operations with a strong focus on student safety and security.
- Implement and monitor transport safety protocols.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of transportation operations.
- Ensure appropriate training and guidelines are provided to transport staff.
- Establish clear processes for student pick-up and drop-off and ensure effective communication with parents.

Budgeting & Cost Management
- Manage operational budgets and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Support the development of financial and operational plans aligned with school objectives.
- Ensure appropriate vendor and resource management.

Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, employees, vendors, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across stakeholders.




- Work closely with the Principal and leadership team on operational priorities and requirements.
- Address administrative concerns and ensure timely resolution.

Candidate Profile

- 10+ years of experience in operations, administration, facilities, general management, or related functions.
- Candidates from diverse industries such as hospitality, healthcare, real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, aviation, defence, corporate administration, or other large-scale operations environments are welcome.
- Strong experience in team management, facilities management, vendor management, budgeting, compliance, safety, and operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple functions and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ownership and a results-driven approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in the education sector is not mandatory.
- Exposure to school operations, CBSE requirements, or education-sector compliance will be an added advantage.
- Ex-servicemen with relevant administrative/operations experience are encouraged to apply.
