Job purpose

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of all guest rooms and hotel common areas, while also supervising housekeeping activities and ensuring rooms are ready on time.

Key responsibilities

- Clean and inspect guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations and allocate rooms/tasks to housekeeping staff.
- Check room cleanliness before marking rooms as Ready / Vacant Clean.
- Ensure bathrooms, linen, towels, amenities and toiletries are properly maintained.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen and cleaning materials.
- Report maintenance issues, damages and missing items to management.
- Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, check-ins and check-outs.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas.
- Train and guide housekeeping staff on proper cleaning standards.
- Maintain housekeeping checklists, room-status records and daily reports.
- Ensure hygiene, safety and qualified grooming standards are followed.




- Handle guest requests related to housekeeping professionally.
- Support the hotel management in maintaining consistent housekeeping standards.

Candidate requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping preferred.
- Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive will be an advantage.
- Should be comfortable doing hands-on housekeeping work as well as supervising staff.
- Good communication and team-management skills.
- Must be disciplined, punctual and responsible.
- Ability to inspect rooms and identify cleanliness/maintenance issues.
- Basic knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures.
- Candidates from Rishikesh/Dehradun or nearby areas preferred.
