Role Description The Fisheries Technician role is a full-time, in office position based in Hyderabad.

The Fisheries

Technician will support fisheries-related projects through field work, including sampling, monitoring, and data collection in aquatic environments. Daily tasks include assisting with fish handling, measurement, and identification, maintaining equipment, and recording accurate field and lab data. The role also involves supporting fisheries management activities, helping implement sustainable practices, and collaborating with trainers, researchers, and other technical staff.





The technician will contribute to training programs, demonstrations, and outreach activities as required.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills and knowledge in Fisheries and Fisheries Management.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with Fish handling, identification, and monitoring.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Fishing operations and related field techniques.
- Candidates should possess strong aptitude for Field Work, including data collection and outdoor activities.
- Diploma or degree in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Zoology, or a related discipline.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain records, and use basic scientific instruments.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to safety and welfare standards.
