Role Overview
As the Email Marketing Specialist, you will manage ASPL World’s end-to-end email marketing operations across client and internal campaigns.
You will be responsible for campaign strategy, automation, audience segmentation, content, deliverability, performance analysis, compliance, and team leadership. You will collaborate with content, design, technology, analytics, and business-development teams to deliver effective and scalable email programs.
Key Responsibilities
Email Strategy and Campaign Management
- Develop and manage the complete email marketing calendar.
- Plan and execute nurture, lifecycle, promotional, transactional, retention, and re-engagement campaigns.
- Build multi-step automated journeys for different audience and customer lifecycle stages.
- Plan campaigns for affiliate product promotions, announcements across Comcast and iCloud domains.
- Develop targeted outbound email sequences for B2C and account-based marketing campaigns.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and within agreed timelines.
Content and Personalization
- Write clear, persuasive, and audience-appropriate email copy.
- Work with designers and developers to produce responsive HTML email templates.
- Create personalized campaigns using segmentation, behavioural triggers, preferences, and engagement data.
- Maintain and improve the company’s email template and content library.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across campaigns.
Analytics and Optimization
- Monitor delivery rate, open rate, click-through rate,
click-to-open rate, conversion rate, bounce rate, complaint rate, and unsubscribe rate.
- Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, sender names, content, calls to action, layouts, audiences, and sending times.
- Prepare weekly and monthly campaign-performance reports.
- Translate campaign data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve engagement and conversions.
Deliverability and Compliance
- Monitor sender reputation, inbox placement, bounce activity, spam complaints, and subscriber engagement.
- Maintain strong list hygiene and audience-quality standards.
- Support proper implementation and monitoring of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Investigate deliverability problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure campaigns comply with applicable requirements, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other relevant privacy regulations.
- Maintain clear consent, preference-management, and unsubscribe processes.
Marketing Technology and Operations
- Manage marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and similar tools.
- Build, maintain, and validate segmented subscriber audiences.
- Establish quality-control procedures for campaign setup, testing, approval, and deployment.
- Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve campaign planning, content development, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor email marketing specialists and campaign executives.
- Allocate work, review campaign quality, and support team development.
- Collaborate with content, design, technology, analytics, and business-development teams.
- Develop standard operating procedures and campaign checklists.
- Conduct training sessions and share email-marketing best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, preferably within a digital marketing agency, technology company, or B2C setting.
- Proven experience managing large-scale email programs involving 100,000 or more contacts.
- Strong working knowledge of affiliate marketing automation and email campaign platforms.
- Excellent email copywriting, editing, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of responsive HTML email templates and email-client compatibility.
- Advanced knowledge of segmentation, personalization, automation, testing, and campaign reporting.
- Strong understanding of sender reputation, inbox placement, authentication, list hygiene, and email compliance.
- Experience working with analytics and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring an email marketing team.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a digital or performance-marketing agency.
- Demonstrated expertise in email deliverability and inbox-placement optimization specifically for Comcast/Xfinity and Apple iCloud domains.
- Knowledge of account-based marketing strategies.
- Experience with customer data platforms and advanced personalization tools.
- Familiarity with CRM integrations, API-triggered campaigns, and marketing data workflows.
- Experience creating and maintaining campaign SOPs and quality-control processes.
