:

An industrial electrician in a FOUNDARY PLANT is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the complex electrical systems and heavy machinery specific to the manufacturing process, while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

- Installation and Repair: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control panels, often working with high voltage systems (up to 480V or higher three-phase systems).
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical problems and malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize production downtime, using a variety of testing devices such as multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance, safety, and operational reliability.
- System Integration: Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and automation control systems, including programming and troubleshooting related electronic hardware.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, lockout/tag-out procedures, and all relevant local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations (e.g., National Electrical Code, OSHA standards).
- Documentation and Planning:



Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan and execute projects. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, production teams, and other tradespeople (mechanical, instrumentation) to ensure seamless operations and assist in the training/mentoring of junior staff.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree or completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.
- Experience: Proven work experience as an industrial electrician, ideally within a heavy industry or steel plant environment.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, and codes; experience with hand tools and testing equipment; proficiency in reading schematics and technical documents.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
