Electrical Maintenance Engineer (CNC / VMC)

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager / HOD

Job Summary

Responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and reliability of CNC, VMC, HMC, and SPM machines while minimizing downtime and ensuring safety.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as per schedule.

Attend machine breakdowns and restore production quickly.

Troubleshoot CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Syntec), PLCs, drives, servo motors, spindle motors, VFDs, sensors, encoders, and electrical panels.

Maintain MCC panels, transformers, wiring, earthing, and control circuits.

Support installation and commissioning of current machines.

Maintain spare parts inventory and raise purchase requisitions.

Maintain maintenance records, logs,



and breakdown analysis reports.

Follow LOTO, electrical safety, 5S, TPM, and Kaizen practices.

Recommend improvements to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Electrical Engineering

Experience

5–10 years in CNC/VMC electrical maintenance within manufacturing or machine tool industry.
